On Wednesday of week 8 a group of students were lucky enough to go and meet the Breakers. The students got a chance to pick up some useful tricks and skills and even received a signed Breakers ball.
On Thursday of week 3 the Senior Schooltook part in Cross Country. The students agreed that they felt a sense of pride having completed the course. Well done to everyone that took part.
Room 15 did scratch art this term. We coloured a piece of paper with oil pastels, then painted it black. When the paint dried, we used toothpicks to scratch a picture.
In Science, Rm 15 put water and ice cubes in a jar. Next we added drops of blue water to the cold water in the jar. We watched the colour moving down and up slowly. The blue water was forming rings in the cold water. The jar of water eventually turned blue. We were learning about why tectonic plates move. That is because the heated magma underneath pushes against it.
